5 reasons to visit the Edinburgh Wellbeing Festival
The Edinburgh Wellbeing Festival
GET FIT. EAT WELL. FEEL GOOD.
1st & 2nd February 2020
To be honest, this blog post could have been called the 49 reasons to visit the Edinburgh Wellbeing Festival. Whilst I was researching this, I was excited by every single workshop / product / event / talk that I came across!
Having taken a new happier, kinder, healthier, approach to life last year, I can say with 100% certainty that the small changes that I have made have made a HUGE difference in my life, from the relationships that I have with my kids and husband; to the energy I have, the success of my business and everything in between.
So, if you are interested in making small positive changes that will make 2020 your best yet, get yourself down to the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh next weekend.
Our top 5 reasons to visit the Edinburgh Wellbeing Festival:
1. THE LOVE FREQUENCY FROM FELIX BUXTON & THE GOT SOUL CHOIR
4 - 5PM | SATURDAY 1st FEBRUARY | THE MUSIC HALL
This special event, looking at music's positive impact on wellbeing, is a bespoke collaboration between Edinburgh Music Lovers (EML) and the Edinburgh Wellbeing Festival. Edinburgh Music Lovers was set up by Jim Byers who is a big believer that music can play a powerful role in our wellbeing and mental health.
In this unique event, we bring together electronic music producer Felix Buxton of Grammy and Brit Award-winning Basement Jaxx, Scotland's Got Soul Choir and Dr Katie Avery of Reid School of Music to explore the transformative power of music.
Felix, who has studied the healing power of sound, has created a bespoke piece of music for the choir to perform to which is based on the 'Love Frequency', a specific type of sound frequency said to promote feelings of calm, healing and love.
