Spiced Tuna Steaks
Spice up your tuna steaks with a little touch of our Goan Spice Pot. This is a really simple marinade that only requires 20 minutes in the fridge and about 4 minutes to cook! Delicious barbecued or cooked on a hot griddle.
Serves 4
Ingredients:
x4 fresh tuna steaks or approx. 200g / each steak about 2 ½ cm thick
5 tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
2 small garlic cloves, crushed
3 teaspoons Goan Spice Pot
Pinch of salt
Handful of coriander leaves, finely chopped
1. To make the marinade - mix or blitz the oil in a blender with the lemon juice, garlic, Goan spice, salt and coriander leaves until you have a smooth paste.
2. Cover the tuna steaks in the mixture and allow to marinade in the fridge for about 20 minutes.
3. Heat a hot griddle or pan, and fry the tuna steaks for 2 minutes on each side for medium/rare, or cook for another 2 minutes for well done. Serve with new potatoes, green beans and salad.
