Our Goan Chicken and Lentil Curry is similar to a Chicken Dhansak and is a quick and easy dinner recipe that’s ready in about 30 minutes. You can add more, or less, Goan Spice depending on how hot you like your curries. It’s also a great dish because it has meat and lentils, so you can adjust the ratio depending on your families’ preference.
You won’t find a Bhuna Butter Chicken in traditional Indian cuisine – this recipe is a Spice Pots invention! Although, it’s made for our Bhuna Spice, it would also work well with our other blends too. It’s such a luxurious, creamy dish that’s a lighter option than a takeaway!

This is a great dish to serve with salads for a light meal, use in a sandwich or as a baked potato filling. For this recipe we poach the chicken in stock, ginger and garlic, but it can be made even easier with leftover chicken from the fridge!
This recipe is for mini Coronation Chicken Pies, which are great for serving as nibbles at a party or with salad for a light meal. It uses cooked chicken, so it’s another great recipe for using up leftovers. You don’t have to make these mini versions, why not turn it in to one big pie for a family meal?
We’ve mentioned using up leftovers, but this recipe really is the MVP in that department! You can vary the ingredients depending on what’s in your fridge/the time of year. If it’s Christmas, why not throw in your leftover turkey, sprouts, bacon and chestnuts? Or leave the meat out for a completely vegetarian dish.
