A lovely alternative to mulled wine. It's a match-made-in-heaven, pairing our Sweet Spice blend with a nice dry cider.
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Method: Hob (or fire!)
1 litre of cider
1 tsp Sweet Spice
2 tsp brown sugar
Slices of orange
1 tsp rum (optional)
- Pour cider into a saucepan, and add the Sweet Spice & brown sugar. Mix well with a whisk and place over a medium heat. Add some slices of orange and, if using, the rum.
- Let it simmer gently until warmed through (but not boiling) and drink, preferably round a crackling fire.
You can also use this blend to make sugar syrup for Cocktails!
