Spice Pots was created to help people create consistently delicious curries and Indian-inspired food at home with perfectly balanced spice blends, clever shortcuts and simple recipes.
Working and traveling in India in 1993 ignited my passion for Indian food. But many years later, as a sleep deprived Mum of 3 small boys, living in rural Scotland with the nearest supermarket 40 minutes away (no, they didn’t deliver in those days) I found myself too busy to cook a curry from scratch. So I came up with a shortcut to re-create the healthy and authentic curries I’d learnt to cook in India. I found a way to batch-blend delicious spice combinations and simplify my favourite curry recipes. I used these blends and recipes for many years before I finally launched Spice Pots in 2014.

I'm still really keen on super simple cooking! We now have a huge variety of recipes, both online and in our cookbook, but the majority of them are still written with the busy person in mind.
