Work With Us

Production, Stock and Orders Manager - 30 - 40 hours per week

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 depending on hours and experience

Spice Pots is looking for a key member of the team to oversee all aspects of production of our products and fulfilment of both wholesale and online orders. The job will also require the ability to use and navigate simple digital tech systems for updating stock and orders.

The role will be based in our warehouse near East Linton along with admin work either done from the warehouse or from home.

The ideal candidate will get a buzz from having things very organised and smooth running.  You will take pride in your working environment.  You will be very comfortable working on your own and will have the ability to manage temporary staff during busy periods.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who loves to largely be their own boss, is quite happy getting on and sorting stuff out.  As well as managing the stock, packing up orders and producing our products, this role also requires confident use of all of our integrated tech systems.  These are not difficult and full training will be given, but if navigating on a laptop is not your thing, this part of the job is not for you!

This job has 2 parts:

STOCK MANAGEMENT AND PRODUCTION IN THE WAREHOUSE

  • Day to day management of the stock
  • Planning production and executing
  • Packing up wholesale orders and arranging delivery
  • Packing up online orders

ADMIN ASSOCIATED WITH ALL ORDERS

  • All administration surrounding wholesale orders; email contact, preparing invoices, arranging collection
  • All administration around online orders.  Communicating with customers, solving any issues, organising replacements
  • Analysing sales and stock data to come up with a production plan
  • Additional admin work to support Spice Pots growth

ESSENTIAL QUALITIES

  • We are looking for someone with a sunny and bright disposition who is naturally positive and solution focussed.  This is an absolute deal breaker.  Doom merchants or those who love a drama need not apply.
  • Naturally organized who loves implementing and tweaking systems to ensure a calm and efficient environment.
  • Able to navigate google drive, formatting documents, and using online systems.  Full training will be given but you must be very comfortable with the basics.
  • Gets a kick out of organising and systems.
  • The desire to fine tune our operation.
  • Must be comfortable with working alone / in a small team

WHAT WE CAN OFFER

Spice Pots wants our employees to be happy.  We offer a flexible and progressive working environment and will work to tweak the role and hours to suit the right person.  We believe that a work / life balance is key.    We are therefore happy to discuss a 4 day or 4.5 day working week.

Whilst we can offer some flexibility on hours, the job does require a physical presence at the warehouse for 4 days per week.   If you can find a way to make this 3 days per week, by implementing new systems and processes, then we are all for it and would love to hear from you.

We will consider other arrangements for this job - if one half of this job floats your boat, get in touch as we may be able to pair up skills and create 2 positions.

Please note that as the warehouse is in semi-rural location, your own transport will be required.
