Goan Spiced Pulled Pork

Goan Spiced Pulled Pork

Goan Spiced Pulled Pork

This simple pulled pork recipe is great to put on and forget about. It can be made in a slow cooker or a low oven, and works so well if you are running a busy household or if you think you can't cook!

It really couldn't be more simple to make deliciously tender and warming dishes that will please a crowd. Stuff into bread rolls with our carrot salad and our mint and coriander raita for a warming, filling casual meal.  Both kids and adults will love this, making it a family favourite.

Serves 8 to 10

Ingredients
2 kg pork shoulder, fat trimmed

1 onion, in wedges
2 cloves of garlic, chopped or crushed

8-10 tsps Goan Spice Pot (or use the Bhuna or Tandoori Masala)
400 ml stock

For the slow cooker: Place the onion and garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker and place the pork on top.  Mix the Spice Pots spices and stock, and pour over the pork. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.

For the oven: Place everything in a roasting pan and cover with a double layer of foil, securing it tightly at the edges to ensure no steam escapes. Slow roast at 150C for 6 to 8 hours, until falling apart.
