This Goan beef recipe is so good and we did virtually no prep (i.e didn't fry the onions before adding them to the pot). It's delicious and such an easy curry recipe.
Goan Spice Pot - 20g (about half the pot, so 8 teaspoons)
2 large onions, finely chopped
10cm piece fresh ginger, grated or finely chopped
6 garlic cloves, crushed or finely chopped
1kg braising or stewing steak, cut into 2.5cm cubes
400ml tin coconut milk
Salt, to taste
Coriander, to garnish
Simply put all of the ingredients (except the coriander) in the slow cooker, ensuring that the meat is submerged. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is super tender. Taste and season again if necessary and add the fresh coriander for garnish.
I was dubious as to whether this would be as good as the other version (see it here) but it was!
